November 29th

Thank you to all the families who attended our virtual conferences over the last couple of day.  It was wonderful to chat with all of you and discuss the accomplishments and future goals you have for your children.  Our grade 3 class is full of amazing students and I am excited to see what else they can strive towards over the next few months!

Homework Update:

Today the students will be bringing home an extra sheet to fill out with their homework.  Please take the time to discuss a cultural celebration they take part in with your family.  Examples may include, (but are not limited to) Christmas, Easter, Eid, Ramadan, Lunar New Year, Diwali, Hannukah, Kwanzaa or any other important cultural celebration. They will need this piece of information for an inquiry in our Social Studies unit.  Please ensure they have their name on the top so it does not get mixed up and lost amongst all the papers coming in.  Thank you for your continued support!

Tomorrow we will take a community trip outside to look for 3D shapes in nature, please make sure your child is dressed for the weather!!

November 19th

What a great week!  The kids were amazing, and they worked so hard on a variety of tasks. They definitely deserve a fabulous weekend off.  Today the students showed off their hip hop skills, and a video will be coming to you via email!

The Grade 3's are leading the school in a food drive this holiday season.  We are asking families to send in non-perishable food items for the Calgary Food Bank.  The Grade 3's will be promoting the food drive through morning announcements, posters and presentations in other classrooms.  We will be accepting donations until Monday December 13th.  Thank you supporting this cause!
